JSON to CSV Converter
Convert a JSON array of objects to CSV with delimiter, line-ending and UTF-8 BOM controls.
About this tool
Convert a JSON array of objects to CSV with delimiter, line-ending and UTF-8 BOM controls.
What this tool handles
The input must be a JSON array whose items are objects. Column names are collected from all records, missing values remain empty, and nested objects or arrays are stored as JSON text in a CSV cell.
Important behavior
Values containing separators, quotes or line breaks are escaped according to CSV rules. Choose a semicolon for many European spreadsheets and enable UTF-8 BOM when an older spreadsheet application needs help detecting encoding.
Private browser processing
The selected file and pasted text are processed locally in this browser tab and are not sent to the server.
How to use
Load a JSON file or paste an array of objects, choose the CSV separator, line ending and optional BOM, process the data, review the preview and download the complete CSV file.
FAQ
What JSON structure can be converted to CSV?
Use an array of objects, for example [{"id":1,"name":"Anna"}]. A single object or an array of primitive values is rejected because it does not define tabular rows.
How are nested objects and arrays exported?
They are serialized as JSON text inside one CSV cell. This preserves the value but does not flatten nested keys into separate columns.
Which delimiter should I choose?
Comma is the common interchange default. Semicolon often opens more predictably in spreadsheet software configured for decimal commas, while tab is useful for TSV workflows.
What does UTF-8 BOM do?
It adds an encoding marker at the beginning of the downloaded CSV. Some older spreadsheet programs use it to recognize accented and non-Latin characters correctly.
Is my JSON uploaded to the server?
No. Conversion runs locally in this browser tab. The selected or pasted data is not sent to the server by this tool.
